We are thrilled to announce the return of Darvélo 2025, marking its third year as a highlight of our community calendar! This year, we’re taking it up a gear with even more opportunities for fun, connection, and adventure.

Darvélo ’25 is designed for everyone—from seasoned cyclists to casual riders and families looking for a great day out. No need to be a pro—just bring your enthusiasm!

Sample relaxed cycling on a scenic and quiet route. 25km along the river Irvine to Galston, round by Cessnock Castle and Sornhill, over to Windchill before returning to The Corner via Lanfine. It’s not all flat but the pace will be relaxed and walking if required. To register click here.

Borrow an eBike. Go electric and zip away. You’ll be amazed at how much zooming fun it is. Hills? No problem!

Loudoun Road Club will be hosting an open club ride taking in 75km of the most scenic roads around Darvel. There will be some tough, but achievable climbs, good scenery and good company. Come along and enjoy the premiere road cycle of Darvélo and meet like minded cyclists for a good day out starting and finishing at The Corner in Darvel. To register click here.

Take a Dr Bike session and learn how to maintain your bicycle and ride safely. You can never be too careful with your valued bike. Bikes assessed and tested by trained experts from Cyclestation.

Stretch out those muscles with a special Darvélo Yoga Session at The Town Hall. Great way to wind down from a cycle ride. You don’t need a bike!

Check out the All Ability Cycles from the Ayrshire Athletics Arena. Bikes for everyone. Look out for the sofa bike. Darvélo ’25 is an all inclusive fun event.
